About your instructor
Hi! I'm Dr. Claire Ellerbrock, and I'm passionate about helping nurse practitioners systemize their approach to mental health treatment for high-quality, effective patient care.Â
I've earned my DNP from Kent State University, MSN from Case Western Reserve University, and BA in Psychology from Washington University in St Louis. As someone who struggled my first few years in practice, I know how tough and lonely the journey into practice can be.
Iâve always been someone who seeks certainty, but my career as a psychiatric nurse practitioner has been anything but certain, filled with nuances and shades of gray.
When I graduated, I was both excited and overwhelmed, questioning if I was truly ready to treat mental disorders and prescribe medications.
Despite my doubts, I was awarded outstanding clinical competence in my MSN graduating class, which only fueled my love for learning and finding ways to make things easier.
So I created a systematic framework to provide high quality patient care. Since 2022, I've helped over 1,000 professionals practice with more confidence. This training is part of the foundational curriculum my students experience. Now, it's your turn.
Let's jump in and get started.
