A patient sits down and says she thinks she has ADHD.

You hand her a rating scale. She scores high. Now what?

Do you diagnose off that? Go looking for what's underneath it? Or refer her out for neuropsych testing, knowing the waitlist is months long and she'll pay out of pocket?

Most of us were never taught how to sit with an adult, gather a developmental history, sort ADHD from anxiety and trauma and sleep and substance use, make the call, and defend it in the chart. Most psychiatrists weren't either.

Enough to confidently run the evaluation yourself. In private practice, this is the same comprehensive evaluation Jean charges $900 for, and she's on the low end. Most run closer to $1,500.

How it works

Six weeks starting January 2027. Weekly teaching sessions plus case labs where you bring your own patients and work them out loud. Ten people.

Jean Tidd has spent 30 years evaluating and treating ADHD and leads the assessment and diagnosis side. I'm covering medication and monitoring, and I'm in every session.

We work a lot of different presentations, including someone who turns out not to have ADHD, because knowing who doesn't have it is half of this.

You can't learn clinical reasoning by watching, and that takes a small room. If you finish and still don't feel confident evaluating an adult for ADHD, we keep working with you until you do.
